October 7, 2023 – Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, took part in an informal meeting of the European Union Council (@EUCouncil) to discuss the future of Europe and enlargement. The meeting, which followed the Community Political European Summit in #Granada, had a crucial agenda focusing on the preparations for the EU’s next enlargement.
During the meeting, Primeiro-Ministro de Portugal, António Costa (@antoniocostapm), emphasized the need for the European Union to adequately prepare for the upcoming enlargement. In a direct statement, he stated, “Já há consenso alargado quanto à UE ter de se preparar atempadamente para o próximo alargamento,” which translates to “There is already a broad consensus that the EU needs to prepare in a timely manner for the next enlargement.”
