Kuala Lumpur, November 6, 2023 – Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, delivered a significant announcement during his speech at the Malaysia Digital Expo 2023 (MDX 2023), where he was accompanied by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Fahmi Fadzil.
In a tweet from his official Twitter account, @anwaribrahim, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim shared, “Sewaktu berucap melancarkan Malaysia Digital Expo 2023 (MDX 2023) hari ini seraya diapit Menteri Komunikasi dan Digital, Fahmi Fadzil, saya maklumkan bahawa Kerajaan mengunjurkan sumbangan ekonomi digital negara kepada Keluaran Dalam Negara Kasar (KDNK) akan melonjak kepada 25.5 peratus menjelang 2025 ketimbang 23.2 peratus ketika ini.”
He emphasized, “Transformasi digital adalah strategi utama untuk memastikan Malaysia muncul sebagai sebuah negara yang berjaya,” signifying that digital transformation is a key strategy to ensure Malaysia’s success in the future.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim concluded his tweet with hope for the benefits of this transformation, saying, “Moga ia membawa manfaat kepada semua rakyat kelak, Insya-Allah,” which translates to “May it bring benefits to all citizens in the future, God willing.”
